Machine Design

Machine Design is a first year compulsory course of the ETH Bachelor’s program in mechanical engineering. It is attended by more than 600 students. The course focuses on machine elements (e.g. gears, springs, bearings), machine systems (e.g. power tools, drive systems and robotic products) as well as basic design methods (e.g. agile development, creativity methods and testing strategies).
