Podgorsak, Anthony
Anthony was born and grew up in New York, USA. During his undergraduate studies, his primary focus was on the patient-specific modelling of coronary stenoses for a computational-based fractional flow reserve evalutation. Post-undergrad, he completed his masters work at the Univerity of Toronto, where he designed a novel minimally-invasive cavopulmonary assist device to bridge patients of failing Fontan circulations to a heart transplant.
His Doctoral work investigates different physiological cues and their potential aetiological roles in Hydrocephalus in collaboration with Universitätsspital Zürich. The data acquired will then be used to create more physiologically accurate testing conditions for shunt prototypes.
