Thomas Gwosch / Alumnus
Thomas Gwosch is part of the research group for biomedical systems at pd|z. He graduated from Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) as a mechanical engineer (M.Sc.) in 2014 and received his doctoral degree (Dr.-Ing.) in 2019. He worked for 3 years as a postdoc at the Institute of Product Engineering at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT). Thomas received in 2022 a research fellowship from the German Research Foundation.
Thomas has a long-standing experience in research on testing and validation of mechatronic systems with a focus on measurement and control. In his research work, he investigates the control of left ventricular assist devices (LVADs) regarding the robustness and performance of the control under various cardiovascular models and disturbances in the measurement signals.
In his spare time, he enjoys being outdoors climbing, hiking and sailing.
