Mussgnug, Moritz
Moritz was one of the first employees at pd|z. He was part of the team ramping up the lab including the design of lectures, acquiring and conducting first industrial projects, and defining new research fields.
During his research, Moritz explored the application of mobile eye tracking technologies for the purpose of usability testing of tangible products. He developed analysis methods allowing to automatically interpret the eye tracking data and to isolate critical usability problems of users.
Besides research, he loved to work with student teams and he is convinced of the enormous potential of project-based education. Two of his most relevant projects were the external page Design and Technology Lab and the MITO project. In the Design and Technology Lab students from industrial design at the Zurich Art School (ZhdK) and from mechanical engineering at the ETH Zurich were jointly educated on the basis of real problems provided by industrial partners. The MITO project is a student project aiming to improve living condition in the western part of Nepal through improving the laborious work of producing walnut oil.
Today Moritz is working at the Student Project House of ETH. He is responsible for the projects and the programs. If you have a project idea or want to join an existing one do not hesitate to contact him. He would be happy to help you.
