Seline is passionate about understanding physiological processes and using this know how to develop sophisticated medical solutions that benefit the patients and contribute to their wellbeing. After earning her Master’s degree, she has worked three years as Development Engineer in the orthopaedic industry. Moreover, she participated on a focus project during her master studies. There she got the first time in contact with the field of heart surgery and cardiology. This topic immediately gathered her deep interest and it is where she builds her research on.

Her aim is to contribute to enhanced treatment options for cardiovascular diseases, predominantly in bypass surgeries and stenting. Her main research focuses on the automated design of patient- and lesion-specific stent designs, which can be additively manufactured. Besides, she is continuing the work of the focus project, where he aims to develop a stent based anastomosis solution.

In her free time, she recharges her batteries and clears her mind in the mountains either by foot, skis or bike, or by climbing.
