Stücheli, Marius
Marius Stücheli grew up in Flawil, St.Gallen. He studied mechanical engineering at ETH Zurich. He wrote his Master’s thesis on hand robotics at the University of São Paulo in Brazil. After two years at the technology development company awtec, he returned to ETH Zurich to start a doctorate in 2012. His research focuses on Adjustable Impedance Elements, more specifically the design of systems with compliant joints and the development of mechatronic machine elements to implement variable stiffness and damping. Marius is a dedicated scout and leads a project in the Swiss Scout Movement on how to reach kids from all socio-cultural backgrounds more effectively.
