Wolf, Philip

Philip Wolf grew up in Würenlos near Baden. He studied mechanical engineering at ETH Zurich. In his bachelor he was part of the focus project IRIDE within the Swiss Academic Space Initiative (ARIS). During this project he developed a fascination for space related propulsion systems. Thereupon, he remained ARIS member and was part of several other student projects. In his master studies, he focused on additive manufacturing with the goal of learning how to use this technology to increase product performance.

In his research, he looks for novel ways of applying additive manufacturing in the space sector. The idea is to digitize the product development workflow and to use the strengths of alogrithmic design to create optimized designs for AM.
