Hui Zhang

Hui Zhang is currently a doctoral student. He received his master's degree at ETH Zurich with a major in Robotics, Systems & Control. Before that, he got his bachelor's degree at Zhejiang University majoring in Robotics. Currently, his research interest lies in the interaction between 3D computer vision and robotics, and their applications in industrial manufacturing. Specifically, he focuses on realistic and autonomous physics-based assembly motion generation, which can be used to train industrial assembly inspection models with less manual effort, fast adaptation, and robustness to human variances. Furthermore, he is also interested in transferring the assembly motion generation methods in simulation to real dexterous robot hands for fully autonomous robot assembly, especially for low-batch customized assembly tasks.
