Gort, Marcel
Marcel Gort was born in Bologna, Italy and grew up in Untervaz and Solothurn, Switzerland. He studied mechanical engineering at ETH Zurich during which he was part of the development of the Varileg exoskeleton. In 2018, he was granted a Pioneer Fellowship from ETH Zurich and in 2019 a Bridge Proof of Concept to further develop the dermatome designed during his master thesis.
In his doctoral thesis, Marcel investigates how silicone additive manufacturing can be used for dynamic bioreactors to create in-vitro skin models.
